Last Saturday, October 24, I celebrated the launch of my book, Inner Home, surrounded by 20 wonderful women in my living room. Exactly the number I had planned for, and exactly how many my condo could accommodate!
Looking back, I realize how much I needed this evening. Perhaps, unconsciously, I knew that celebrating the book with other women would finally make me feel like an author.
Until then, it still felt strange. I had this book in my hands, yet sometimes I wasn’t even sure I liked it. Reading certain passages made me sad. I could almost look at the book as if someone else had written it. Now I understand why: those pages hold so much of my own emotional turmoil, questions, discoveries, and personal growth.

Building my outer home to celebrate my Inner Home
Preparing for the launch was an adventure in itself. My husband, my children, and I worked hard to make our condo cozy and welcoming. We cleaned, rearranged furniture, decorated, and finally finished projects that had been waiting for attention.
And I love the symbolism of it all: while preparing to celebrate a book about building an inner home, I was also taking care of my actual home.
I love our apartment so much more now!
The evening itself was everything I had hoped for. My friend Natalia interviewed me about the book, we shared stories, took photographs, enjoyed delicious food, and even had a beautiful cake decorated with my book cover, lovingly made by a close friend.

But something else happened that evening that stayed with me.
The magic of women’s circles
At some point, the women naturally gathered around the table and started talking about life. No agenda, no facilitation. Just women connecting.
I realized once again how much I need these moments.
I often understand myself better through other women’s experiences. Not because I’m looking for approval or recognition, but because I recognize parts of myself in their struggles, dreams, ambitions, and questions.
When I share something and see another woman nodding, I know she understands. And that connection is priceless.
I truly believe we need more spaces like this, where women can simply be themselves, listen, reflect, laugh, and feel connected.
I’d love to organize women’s circles and journaling workshops two or three times a year. And perhaps Inner Home is opening the door to exactly that.

A heartfelt thank-you
To every woman who came, brought homemade food, shared her thoughts, bought my book, or purchased copies for friends: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you to Natalia for our beautiful conversation, and especially to my husband and children for helping me make this evening possible.
I feel grateful, humbled, and honoured.
Writing Inner Home was a long and sometimes painful journey. But last Saturday, something shifted.
For the first time, I truly felt like an author.
And my greatest hope is that this book will encourage more women to turn inward, recognize their patterns, discover their blind spots, and build a stronger relationship with themselves.
Because sometimes, coming home to ourselves begins with sharing our stories with others. 🤍
